
Mt Hotham Training Camp
If you are ill or have flu-like symptions, please do not attend.
The Camp will be available on a weekly or daily session basis.
This focus of the Camp is to develop and test shooting and skiing skills of National Junior and Development Team members as well as a series of physical fitness tests determining strength and fitness of athletes.

Session Start Times: TBA, possibly 10.00am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm (approx). Exact starting times will be confirmed for each day.
Athletes may book in for a weekly, daily or single session.
Session Length: approx 90mins to 2hrs depending upon athlete capability.
What to Bring:
Skis: Skate skis and poles are required. Classic sessions may also be held. Attendees will be advised prior to a session if it is to be a classic session and which skis to bring.
Shooting: biathlon rifle and accessories, ammunition.
Hydration and Snacks: Participants should bring plenty of drinks and snacks with them to all sessions.
Training Diary: Athletes should bring their training diary to record their sessions to share with the coach. If an athletes does not have a training diary, please purchase an A5 notebook to bring to the Camp. The purpose of a training diary will be outlined and the camps sessions can be recorded and begin the start of the athlete's training diary.
Lunch/Snacks: Food will not be provided, so will be the responsibility of the athlete and their family to bring an appropriate amount of food and snacks.
What to Wear: Training clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Check the weather forecast and ensure you have suitable clothing for each session, including change of clothing and suitable clothing should the weather/forecast change.
Cost:
Free for all athletes in the National Team, Junior Team, Development Team and members aspiring to join these teams.
Range Pass: Athletes involved with .22 activties at the Camp will need to purchase a Range Pass and indicate if they hold a their firearms licence or minors permit. Click here to purchase your Range Pass.
A Range Pass is not required for laser biathlon activties.
Membership: Membership of Biathlon Australia is required to attend the Camp.
