Expression of Interest (EOI)
IBU-IOC Winter Camp 2026 – Martell, Italy
Dear Athletes and Coaches,
Biathlon Australia is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from athletes aged 15 to 21 years who are interested in attending the IBU-IOC Winter Camp in Martell, Italy, from 30 November to 6 December 2026.
These IBU camps provide an outstanding opportunity for developing athletes to train in an international high-performance environment, work alongside athletes from other nations, and further develop their technical, physical skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.
Following the camp, it might be possible to have the opportunity to remain in Martell to compete in the IBU Regional Event on 12-13 December 2026. This provides valuable international racing experience and an opportunity to consolidate the training completed during the camp, while also achieving International Biathlon Union Qualification Points (QP).
Camp Details
- Location: Martell, Italy
- Camp Dates: 30 November – 6 December 2026
- Eligible Age: 15–21 years
- Following Competition: IBU Regional Event, Martell – 12–13 December 2026
Attending both the training camp and the Regional Event offers an excellent opportunity to maximise the benefits of travelling to Europe by combining quality training with international competition.
Expression of Interest
Athletes wishing to be considered are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to Biathlon Australia.
Expressions of Interest should include:
- Athlete name and date of birth.
- A brief summary of current training and competition activities.
- A short statement outlining why you would like to attend the camp and how it will contribute to your development.
Selection will consider factors including:
- Athlete development and future potential.
- Current performance level.
- Commitment to training and competition.
- The athlete's ability to benefit from the opportunity.
