Darcie and Damon Morton Represent Australia at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games

Biathlon Australia is proud to celebrate a historic moment for the Morton family and Australian biathlon.

Athlete Darcie Morton and her brother, coach Damon Morton, have proudly represented Australia at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in Cortina. For Darcie, this marks her Olympic debut—ten years after she first represented Australia at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.

Damon Morton, an IBU Level 2 coach, brings extensive experience to the Olympic stage. He previously coached Australia’s six-person biathlon team at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon, South Korea, and now makes his own Olympic debut as a coach.

This milestone is made even more special as it comes twenty years after their father, Olympian Cameron Morton, represented Australia at the Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games. Cameron and Darcie Morton now stand as the first father-daughter duo to represent Australia at the Winter Olympics.

Biathlon Australia extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to Darcie and Coach Damon as they compete at their first Olympic Games.

Biathlon Australia — proudly celebrating 50 years.
