Boris Stanish Meets World Cup Qualification Standard

Dear Biathlon Family Australia,

The penultimate Olympic qualification events at IBU Cup 4 in Arber, Germany, delivered a number of outstanding performances, with several athletes achieving Personal Bests.

Noah Bradford, Boris Stanish, and Isabella Moon all recorded Personal Best (PB) IBU Qualification (Q) point results at the event.

A highlight of the competition was Boris Stanish’s PB score of 136.74 IBU Q points, which lowers his (after) Trimester 2 average to 148.41, placing him under the required 150-point threshold.

As a result, Boris now joins Darcie, Phoenix, Noah, and Rosie in meeting the IBU World Cup minimum qualification requirements. Under IBU Event and Competition Rules (1.5.3.3), athletes must meet defined performance standards at IBU Cup or higher-level events to be eligible for World Cup competition.

Following IBU Cup 4 (2025–26 season, post–Trimester 2), the current IBU Q point standings are:

  • Noah Bradford – 111.26

  • Phoenix Sparke – 120.16

  • Darcie Morton – 122.62

  • Boris Stanish – 148.41

  • Isabella Moon – 272.00

Congratulations to Boris on meeting the World Cup qualification standard, and also to Noah and Isabella on achieving Personal Best Q point results at IBU Cup 4.

We wish all of our Olympic aspirants every success as they head into the final qualification events for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
