Australian Biathletes Combining Sport and Study in Sweden
Two Australian biathletes are among six international athletes participating in a program in Östersund, Sweden, that allows athletes to combine university studies with high-performance biathlon training.
The initiative is a partnership between the Swedish Biathlon Federation, Mid Sweden University and the International Biathlon Union (IBU). Sebastian Packer-Smith is participating in the program for the first time this year, while Isabella Moon is returning for her second year.
Both athletes benefit from access to world-class training facilities and regular ski and shooting sessions while continuing their university studies.
