BA CHAMPIONSHIPS ONLINE EDUCATION

 

With just under a week to go before entries close, please make sure that the mandatory education requirements are complete – you would not want to miss out on racing.

 

Athletes – Mandatory Education

It is possible that athletes may be tested during our events, and it is critical that you are aware of the what the process entails and you understand your rights and responsibilities as an athlete during the testing process and under the anti-doping policy.

Please ensure you have completed the SIA Online eLearning Courses as outlined below prior to competing.

PLEASE NOTE: if you are entering into more than one event you must meet the education requirements for the highest event you are entering (e.g. U16 and U19 – you must meet the requirements of the U19 event). Any athlete entering into the Open event must meet the education requirements of the Open event.

Previously completed the Anti-Doping Fundamentals Course? You do not need to complete it again. You will however need to complete the Annual Update 2026 if you have not done so already.

Previously completed Clean Sport 101? You do not need to complete it again.

Once you have completed the course(s) please download your Training History via My Learning > Training History > Completions > Export and send it toexecutiveofficer@biathlonaustralia.com.au.

 

Course Details

Anti-Doping Fundamentals- Comprehensive anti-doping education covering the rules and regulations related to anti-doping, the processes involved in testing, the ethical and health implications of doping, and the responsibilities of athletes and support personnel to uphold anti-doping standards.

Annual Update2026Released in December each year, this course reflects current trends in anti-doping and broader integrity issues including new prohibited substances, rule changes and other contemporary topics.

Clean Sport 101- An introduction to anti-doping rules, rights and responsibilities written in plain English, this course provides an overview of the anti-doping landscape, and guidance on the resources and tools available when seeking more comprehensive information.

 

Regular Medication

If you are concerned that the medication you are taking may be aprohibited substance it would be a good idea to check if you need a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).

A TUE permits an athlete to use a substance or method that is otherwise prohibited, strictly for legitimate medical treatment.
