Event Waiver

WAIVER: I understand that by participating in on-snow biatlhon racing and/or training events, I may be exposed to potential hazards and that I should not participate unless I am medically fit and able.

INSURANCE: I understand that entrants into Biathlon Australia events are responsible for their own personal accident and property insurance.

MEDIA CONSENT:  I agree to Biathlon Australia and its stakeholders (including, without limitation, the AOC, Paralympics Australia, Ausport/ASC, IBU, BIU, funding bodies, commercial partners & sponsors) publishing, broadcasting, posting or otherwise using my, my child’s/ward’s name & age and any likeness, sound, image or video of us captured at or in respect of the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If the training and/or event is cancelled by Biathlon Australia due to adverse weather or another reason such as to proceed has been deemed unsafe, the fees will be refunded. If the training and/or race proceeds  however in a different form or with a replacement activity and you choose not to attend or are ill, unfortunately we cannot refund fees as event and other expenses are incurred. 

Child safety commitment 

Biathlon Australia (BA) provide quality sports coaching for participants in a welcoming and safe environment and foster positive learning and skill development. 

We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children attending and they will be treated with respect and understanding at all times. 

Everyone participating in a Biathlon Australia program, including staff, participants, children and parents must adhere to BA’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy so that we can provide a safe and supportive environment for all. 

Behaviours and respect 

To ensure that all attending a training session/program/camp can enjoy the program and improve their skills, Biathlon Australia have policies in place to foster the right kind of attitude and behaviours. This goes hand in hand with the life lessons that playing sport teach us. 

All attending the program/camp/session must treat other participants, staff and coaches with kindness and respect, and adhere to BA’s Code of Conduct.  

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER 

The Biathlon Australia staff are authorised to act for parents and guardians, according to their best judgement, in any emergency requiring medical attention for their children. To the extent permitted by law Biathlon Australia and their staff are released from any and all liability for injury, illness, damage or loss incurred while at program/camp/session.
