Event Waiver

WAIVER:  I understand that by participating in roller-ski and laser biathlon training I may be exposed to potential hazards and that I should not join or participate unless I am medically fit and able.

I understand that roller-ski session/laser biathlon attendees are responsible for their own personal accident and property insurance.

MEDIA CONSENT:  I agree to allow Biathlon Australia to use my/my child's/my ward’s name and any photographs taken of me/my child/my ward during activities for the promotion of Biathlon in the media and to the general public.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  If your training session is cancelled by Biathlon Australia due to adverse weather or another reason every effort will be made to hold an alternate session. If this is not possible then no refund will arise. If a session proceeds however in a different form or with a replacement activity and you choose not to attend or are ill, unfortunately we cannot refund fees as coaching and other expenses are incurred.

Child safety commitment 

Biathlon Australia (BA) provide quality sports coaching for participants in a welcoming and safe environment and foster positive learning and skill development. 

We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children attending and they will be treated with respect and understanding at all times. 

Everyone participating in a Biathlon Australia program, including staff, participants, children and parents must adhere to BA’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy so that we can provide a safe and supportive environment for all. 

Behaviours and respect 

To ensure that all attending a training session/program/camp can enjoy the program and improve their skills, Biathlon Australia have policies in place to foster the right kind of attitude and behaviours. This goes hand in hand with the life lessons that playing sport teach us. 

All attending the program/camp/session must treat other participants, staff and coaches with kindness and respect, and adhere to BA’s Code of Conduct.  

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER 

The Biathlon Australia staff are authorised to act for parents and guardians, according to their best judgement, in any emergency requiring medical attention for their children. To the extent permitted by law Biathlon Australia and their staff are released from any and all liability for injury, illness, damage or loss incurred while at program/camp/session.
