QUALIFICATION STATUS FOR IBU 2024/2025 TRIMESTER 1 

Dear Biathlon Family Australia,

 Bob Cranage was Australia’s winter biathlon champion in 1977. He also achieved the best results of the Australian National Team at the 1978 Biathlon World Championships (WCHs) in Hochfilzen, Austria.

 1978 WCH Results:

·                Bob Cranage - 74^th Individual, 71^st Sprint, 20^th Men’s Relay

·                Lauri Jortikka - 77^th Individual, 73^rd Sprint, 20^th Men’s Relay

·                Bob Butler - 83^rd Individual, 81^st Sprint, 20^th Men’s Relay

·                Andrew Paul - 20^th Men’s Relay (Note: Andrew Paul was the first Australian biathlete to compete at the Olympics)

 Nearly 50 years on and AUS NF had two biathletes participate in the Biathlon WCHs in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.

 2024 WCH Results:

·                Darcie Morton 72^nd Individual, 71^st Sprint, 27^th Single Mixed Relay (SMR)

·                Noah Bradford 100^th Individual, 91^st Sprint, 27^th SMR

 In addition to AUS NF representation at the 2024 Biathlon WCHs, AUS National and Junior Team biathletes achieved the following IBU qualifications through IBU season 2023-24:
