Notes
a) * Athletes who are turning 18years in 2025, but only hold a valid Minor’s Permit on the day of this event, will race in the U19 Youth age category due to firearms licencing laws and supervision of minors. Minor’s Permits may be issued until you reach the age of 18 years and 3 months. The additional 3 months allows the permit holder to continue using firearms under the authority of the Minor's Permit while an application for a Firearms Licence is determined. U19 Youth competitors, who are over the age of 18 and possess an adult firearms licence in any Australian State, wishing to carry their rifle in competition may choose to compete in the U21 class.
b) All competitors must hold a Minors Permit or Firearms Licence issued by a State or Territory in Australia. Overseas shooting licences will be accepted by arrangement.
c) Order of age class racing and zero times will be advised with release of the Start List
d) For Junior U21 Biathletes
• Junior Men Under 21 (who ski same course as Open Men) will be automatically entered in the Senior men championship event (who also ski same course) and thus could be both the overall junior boys champion and the overall senior men champion for that event. • Junior Women Under 21 (who ski same course as Open Women) will be automatically entered in the Senior Women championship event (who also ski same course) and thus could be both the overall junior girls champion and the overall senior women champion for that event.
Biathlon Australia acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government.
